We're getting ready for our meetings
starting this month. I'm hoping for a good
turnout in participation since we have more
people joining our group!
Hope everyone had a great summer. We were very
busy these past three months with rescuing lost pets. I
can't stress enough how important it is to have your pets chipped!
It would help us tremendously if both cats and dogs are chipped!
This being the reason, if we cannot find the owners I have to put
them in foster homes until I can find the owners. It is too hot for
the kennels during the summer months. Of course sometimes it is
hard to find a foster especially for cats! If I have no fosters and the
pet is not chipped or has a tag without a phone number they will
have to go to the shelter. We do not want that to happen! So please
chip or at least have a collar with tags with a phone number on all
your pets! We want to get your fur babies back to you ASAP! For
those who helped find lost pets this summer, thank you!
Just a reminder the Winter Craft Fair will be coming up Nov. 3
and 4. Please think of those donations now! Contact Jane Manson
at 845-7833 for your donation. We appreciate all donations!
Our next meeting is Sept. 18 at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse
Multipurpose Room. Our guest speaker will be Lynne Elwan from
Guide Dogs of the Desert. Lynne will have a couple other guests
joining her. She will also be bringing two of their dogs in training.
It's going to be a great meeting. Hope to see you all there!
If you have any pet items to donate, please contact Helen Mattias
at 797-0583. Info., Sandra Burgon, 909-855-0226.
