This month is your chance to attend a show unlike any we've put on before! It's our Way Off Broadway show! Show dates for this FREE show are Friday, Oct. 20 and Saturday, Oct. 21. You will need tickets for admission. They are available on Monday, Oct. 9, at 9 am, at the Lodge's Front Desk. You can have up to six tickets per person. If you find that you have extra tickets, we urge you to please return them, so other residents may use them. This performance is going to be GREAT! It's a compilation of solos, duets, trios, and groups, singing some of the most iconic songs from well-known Broadway shows. Singing for Seniors reminder: No classes on Oct. 18 and Oct. 25. Spotlight on Teri DiMarino-Davidson and Jeff Davidson: Both Teri and Jeff deserve special attention for their hard work and dedication to the Performing Arts Club. They've been instrumental in setting up and dismantling our stage, almost every time there's a show. Jeff is partly responsible for us even having a stage and upgraded sound system in our Ballroom and Amphitheater, as he was a vocal member of the original Events Systems Committee in the early days of our Four Seasons community. We tend to take for granted just how much work it takes to get the stage and sound ready. Per Teri, after years of practice, it currently takes them about an hour to set up the stage and approximately 45 minutes to break it down. It might not seem like a lot of time, but it's actually quite labor- intensive, requiring precision to set up correctly. If you've been living here more than seven years, you'll recognize Teri as our original show MC. With her sharp wit and energy, she told jokes and kept the shows moving along. A belated and befitting "Thank You" is certainly deserved. Jeff, too, has been involved, as a showman. He is one of the funniest men in "The Real Men of Four Seasons." He explained to me that "The Real Men" can't dance, sing, learn choreography, memorize dialogue, or keep a straight face. That may be true, but they definitely have the knack to make their audiences roar with laughter! Why are Jeff and Teri so involved with our club? Because they've gotten a great deal of fun out of it! When asked what would you tell others about joining the Performing Arts Club, Jeff responded, "Give it a shot if you enjoy having fun!"
