FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2017 43 Let's Dance Our Christmas Dinner Dance will be Friday, Dec. 8 with social time at 4 pm, dinner at 5 pm and dancing 5:30 to 8:30 pm. We will be dancing to the sounds of Rhonda and Showdown. Tickets will be $25 per person and available for sale by Oct. 20. More information, including the menu for dinner, will be available on the poster at the Lodge mid-October. Be sure to save the date for this great evening. We continue to offer lessons by professional instructors on Monday nights in the Ballroom. The half hour starting at 6:30 pm costs only $5 per person and features basic steps, routines and reviews. If you want dance basics, this is for you. From 7 to 8 pm we learn intermediate and advanced steps. By taking the basic and slightly advanced classes, you get an hour and a half lesson with our professional instructors for only $10 per person. What a bargain! Plus you meet a group of great neighbors having fun and learning all about dance in the same way – one step at a time. We understand it takes time and patience to first learn then improve the various dances. Dancing is good for your heart and brain and great for your health. Come on out and give it a try! Contacts: Puring and Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333, or at purings@verizon.net. ~ Sue Condurachi A big thank you to all of the assistants who always seem to be there whenever I need help. The line dance class continues to add new members, which makes it fun for everyone. We are learning new dances brought in by the dancers and it is really challenging to remember them all, but very good for the brain. We are gearing up for our holiday party, Nov. 17 from 5 to 8:30 pm in the Ballroom. This year the meal will be catered and the cost is $15 per person. Anyone who wants to come is welcome. We will begin taking reservations Oct. 3, and reservations close Nov. 5. The dancers contribute $1/per week for this occasion. So, if you attended 15 or more sessions, your meal is free; 10 - 14 sessions, your meal will be $5; five to nine sessions your meal will be $10. For fewer sessions the cost would be $15. However, if you have less than 15, you still have several weeks to boost your number of sessions and reduce your cost. There is a sheet tallying the number of times you have signed in for dance that you can check for your attendance. There will be a sign-up sheet each week during class and all monies must be paid by Nov. 5. If you are not a class member but would like to attend the party, please contact me at the number below. At our age we need to keep dancing. It is good for the body and even better for our minds. And did you ever listen to the lyrics in country songs? They all tell a story; some we can relate to and others are just plain funny. All music helps us to relax. So turn on your music, dance and relax. Please check the Breeze for class times. Hope to see you on the dance floor. ~ Martha Franck Line Dancing
