FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2017 21 Your Landscape Committee is charged with overseeing the well- being and maintenance of all Association plant life and irrigation systems. To do this, we take weekly walking tours of all Association common areas and front yard cost center homes. We look for dying or missing plants that need replacement or irrigation materials that need repair. We are homeowner volunteers and NOT contractor employees. We don't do the work. Through the Association's management staff we advise our contractors of areas that need attention. We do so with the understanding that we must work within the financial constraints and overall guidelines we've been given by the Board of Directors. We advise; we cannot make any direct contact with our contractors outside of our meeting. That is the responsibility of the management office. We take all homeowner input seriously and try our best to resolve any issues within the framework of what is best for all Four Seasons residents. This may mean, at times, that an individual request for change may not be appropriate or acceptable and, thus, may not be done to the requester's satisfaction. However, we try to do what we can to resolve all issues. Add to this the time frame needed to get a request completed and it may seem like the committee is not being very responsive. Once a request is received, it is reviewed for appropriateness and our management staff turns it over to the contractor for bidding. The bid is then acted on at our next regularly-scheduled meeting. If the Landscape Committee approves the contractor's bid, it is then presented to the Finance Committee at their next regularly-scheduled meeting. The approved proposal is then presented to the Board of Directors at their next regularly- scheduled meeting and, if approved, it is sent back to the contractor for purchasing and scheduling. Based on the time frame of meetings, it could be two or three months after the original request was received. Your patience and understanding are what is requested as well as your trust that the Landscape Committee always has in mind what is best for all residents. ~ Vince Conway Landscape Committee Greetings! We have been hard at work. Our Fall Fashion Show "Strolling Through Four Seasons" is a sell-out and promises to be a beautiful afternoon. Plans are underway for another New Year's Eve blast. Back by popular demand will be DJ Tony. He truly knows how to get our party started and keep it going through the New Year! This is another sell-out event so, when tickets go on sale, be there. A January Paint Nite is in the works. Tickets for New Year's Eve and Paint Nite will go on sale in November, so be on the lookout for flyers with more information. Enjoy. ~ Pamela Morales Social Committee
