44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2017 We are again meeting every Monday at 3 pm in the Ballroom (or other place if the Ballroom is not available). We are preparing for our October Way Off Broadway show and the December Holiday Show. It usually takes us a couple of weeks to warm up again, so this is a good chance for anyone thinking about joining the choir to go ahead and jump in. This is a warm, accepting club to join and the singing also provides health benefits. To join, or if you have questions about the Four Seasons Singers, call (951) 797-3466 or email me at bawasco@dc.rr.com. ~ Barbara Wasco Four Seasons Singers Amphitheater The Summer Concert Series in our Four Seasons Amphitheater has drawn to a close for 2017. As always, there is a wonderful support system in place which is so essential to bringing these concerts to our community. So a big thank you to the following: First, acknowledgment to the Board of Directors which has financially supported this musical series from the very beginning. This support allows for professional musicians who attract an audience that has grown to more than 1,000 for the season. Secondly, though they are behind the scenes, the technical crew make it all happen. The hard-working group is the first to arrive on the day of the concert and the last to leave in the evening. They haul, tote, set up the entire sound system: wiring the speakers and working with each individual band to achieve the best possible sound mix. Larry Gooddreau is at the helm of this fabulous crew consisting of Jeff Davidson, David Holt, Mark Lassen, John Noonan, Michael Rothberg, Andy Shipper, Stan Sweeney and Colin Taylor. Thirdly, the Amphitheater Production Group manages the process of identifying and booking the talent, checks and coordinates all the details such as insurance contracts, and assists the performers as needed. The chairman for this group is Mark Lassen who works closely with our Activities Director, Cindy Graves. Group members are Mary Cristleman, Toni Finer, Larry Goodreau, Barbara Lassen, Penny McDonell, John Noonan, Doris SanFilippo, Andy Shipper and Stan Sweeny. We look forward to seeing you next summer! ~ Doris SanFilippo SEASONED SOLOS If you are single and enjoy a variety of activities, then Seasoned Solos just might be the group for you. We currently have 20 plus members. At each meeting we discuss what is going on in the Inland Empire and plan activities for the coming month. From local lunches and dinners to excursions to Presidential Libraries, Redlands Bowl, Metro Links trips into LA and the beach train to San Juan Capistrano, there's not much that we won't consider doing. We meet on the first Friday of each month in the Lodge Craft Room at 6 pm. For further information call Joyce at (951) 850-3055. ~ Joyce Olson Classical Music Club We are classical music lovers with an interest in sharing our love, knowledge, and interest in classical music. We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 pm in the Theater. We listen to and watch musical selections on the big screen. Each month we focus on a particular work or several selections of one composer. We also discuss current musical performances in the area. We welcome new members.
