52 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2017 Billiards for Fun Was it ever wonderful to be in the Billiards Room during our heat waves in August and September! Whew! Not only was it a cool place to play, but there are lots of "cool" people in the Billiards for Fun Group. Many thanks to each of the players who diligently come to play this fun and challenging game, while hanging out with their challengers for the day. We sure have a good time! On Aug. 22, Pete Antoine expertly officiated the BFFG quarterly tournament. Since we currently hold two sessions, the winners from each session were in the playoffs. The team of Bob Rector and Mike Saperstein came in first place and were the tournament winners, and the team of Bob Semler and Andy Lunetta took second place. (See photos below.) Congratulations to all the players, and especially the winners - you ALL rock! We have been on potluck hiatus while the Ballroom has been renovated, but hope to resume our bi-monthly potlucks on Oct. 17, once we get the green light from the construction zone. We always have such a fun time at our potluck lunches, and the food is always exquisite (Smitty's pizzas are a fave). If you are interested in joining a really great group of billiard players who make the day fun for all of us, please stop by the Billiards Room any Tuesday at either 11 am OR 1 pm (the sessions are two hours each) and see for yourself. There are also informal practice sessions on Saturdays during the same time slots. C'mon, dust off your pool stick, and join the laughter and fun.
