| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2017 | 5 A Message From Your General Manager By Rick Ruth, CMCA This month's message is about neighbors, specifically our "neighbor for life," the golf course. I want to focus on looking ahead to a stronger, more positive relationship with the course owners and personnel. In August, Roger Choi, the General Manager of the golf course passed away. Roger was pleasant, albeit challenging, to work with. Our office made every effort to get our resident's concerns addressed and, when they weren't, the city was contacted to assist. Since Roger's passing, Lee family representatives have stepped in to oversee operations. They are relying on the interim course manager, Ray, to handle the day to day operations until a full-time General Manager is hired. By the time this article is printed, we will have contacted Ray and members of the Lee family to discuss topics that directly impact Four Seasons. The Lee family has made some improvements regarding course maintenance and we know there's a long way to go. In early September, "No Trespassing" signs were posted at cart path entries. Roger had said to me on many occasions that, "if you didn't pay to play, you are trespassing." Over the years, our Roving Patrol (when contacted by residents to investigate alleged trespassing) had to wait until the persons stepped onto our property. Once that happened, Roving Patrol would escort the persons off the property. In some cases, Hemet PD was contacted to assist. I've written about a group of Four Seasons residents who use the third fairway to gather with friends and let their dogs run around off leash in the late afternoons. Are they trespassing? The simple answer is yes. Are they hurting anyone or the fairway? Maybe, maybe not. It has also been common to see residents walk along the cart paths and fairways in the early morning and late evening. Some residents have even been spotted walking their dogs on the cart paths while there are golfers trying to play. (Not good - or safe.) The golf course owners and personnel are requesting everyone's cooperation in honoring their request to not trespass on the cart paths and fairways. Please make every effort to be a good neighbor and respect their wishes. A couple of final reminders: Please obey the posted speed limit, pick up after your pets and slow down when entering the community so the gate arm has a chance to work properly. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Happy Halloween!
