A big thank you to Lynne Elwan and Sally Lyons from Guide Dogs of The Desert. The group really enjoyed dogs Dina and Sydney. Lynne mentioned they will be having their graduation ceremonies soon. The November graduation will be held on Nov. 18 at noon if anyone is interested in attending. You can get all the details on their website Guide Dogs of The Desert. We think it would be a nice event to attend. We had a good suggestion on guest speakers for next year. It seems we had a request for a meeting specifically for cats. So sometime next year we will do that. We think that is a great idea! Don't forget the Fall Craft Fair on Nov. 3 and 4. If you can help or have any donations please contact Jane Manson at 797-7833. Our next meeting will be Nov. 20 at 10 am in the Multipurpose Room. We will be discussing what our purpose is in helping our community, among other topics. Jane will also be bringing in Myrtle the Turtle. If anyone else owns a turtle you're welcome to bring them in. After all they are pets too! We will also be selling some items left over from the Craft Fair. If we have time some of you can share your fun stories about your pets. I hope you will have a few laughs! If you have any pet items to donate please contact Helen Mattias at 797-0583. Hope to see you all at the November meeting. Info., Sandra Burgon, (909) 855-0226. EPAP ANIMAL RESCUE WHY RECYCLE? November/December Board Meeting Schedule Change The November open session board meeting date has been changed from Nov. 22 to Nov. 29 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Also, there will be no open session board meeting during the month of December. Notices will also be placed on the clubhouse bulletin boards, channel 97, and on the Sun Lakes website. Daylight Savings Time Daylight saving time ends on the first Sunday in November, when clocks are moved back an hour at 2 am.
