54 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2017 November! The year is almost over. Now that was quick, but didn't we have fun? Our membership has grown to 16 and we're back to playing at the much improved Summit venue. So it's been a good year. Our Fourth Quarter Tournament is scheduled for Dec. 6 and 13, which all members look forward to with much anticipation. Our October social was changed to a BBQ/picnic at The Summit. A very successful event with everyone pitching in with the setup and cooking and then the clean-up afterwards. A few games of horseshoes were played prior to dessert which was provided by Rich and Jill Yanes. But the bulk of the work, including pre-planning, buying all the food, set up, and cooking was done by Gary Christie and Linda Mendelsen. Thanks to them for a very successful BBQ which I'm sure now will become an annual event. Thanks Gary and Linda. So, if you are looking for a group like this to become a part of, come on out and join us. We play every Wednesday at 9 am at The Summit. It was a small group because of some being in the Sierras, camping in Bishop and seeing many of the beautiful sites in the area. Our next trip is to Huntington Beach Oct. 29 thru Nov. 5. Lots of activities planned for one of our favorite places to camp. Then we go to Pahrump and Las Vegas Nov. 12 to 18. So far, in the spring, we have a five day trip to Palm Springs April 8 to 13. Included is hiking to Taquitz with a Ranger Guide, and the Palm Springs Tramway.
