FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2017 53 The Curly Cues are at it again! On Oct. 23 we held our last in- house quarterly tournament of 2017. After a grueling and highly competitive morning session exhibition, Jodi Wilson came out the victor. (Although feeling opponent pressure and an intense desire to win, Jodi commented, "I'm never doing this again!") However, her morning session win didn't do the trick. She had to play the winner of the afternoon session: Bev Lunetta. And what a playoff it was! Jodi had already been worked over, winning six grueling games to Bev's four. Jodi mustered the energy and played Bev for bragging rights on the Curly Cues' plaque. As a result, Bev won first place and Jodi took second, and both contestants have their name on the plaque ~ you ladies rock! Or come by and check out the plaque in the Billiards Room for proof of their respective wins. In November we held our Curly Cues off-site luncheon at Guy's Italian Restaurant in Banning and lots of good eats and fun was had by all who attended. Thanks to Lois Waugh for arranging the reservation; we all had a wonderful time. On Dec. 5 we are planning our annual Christmas luncheon and gift exchange at Tukwet. Joy Collins and Lois LeMottee are busy planning the fun for all of us. Hey, all you ladies out there! If you are interested in playing pool or learning how to play, come by the Billiards Room any Monday from 11 am to 1 pm or 1 to 3 pm (two sessions), and check us out. We would love to have you join this fun and giggly group! ~ Eileen Gilbert- Antoine The Wild Bunch 8-Ball Billiards Group is in the middle of the Fall Season of competitive league play and is proving to be the team to beat. We are looking forward to bringing the Championship Trophy back to Four Seasons and we are well on our way in doing so. The Wild Bunch consists of some of the best players in the league: Larry Chase, Pete Antoine, Mike Corbett, Carlos Rivera, LeRoy Wright, Calvin Moore, and Gracy Luna. There are eight teams in the league, with 62 serious players, all vying for the coveted Championship Trophy. If you want to play serious, competitive pool, we invite you to come by the Billiards Room and join in the stimulation of competitive play. We do not play with partners; we play one-on-one with an opponent of your skill level. We are always looking for those who want to play competitively and, who knows, you just may want to change up your game and play on the team! ~ Gracy Luna Curly Cues Wild Bunch Billiards Second place winner, Jodi Wilson and first place winner, Bev Lunetta Sandy Butler-Roberts shows intense concentration during the tournament Bi-monthly luncheon at Guy's — 20 ladies attended!
