Karaoke for December will be on the third Friday — that would be Dec. 17 at 2 pm in the Karaoke Lounge. I wanted to wish everyone in the community a very, very Merry Christmas and the happiest of New Years on behalf of the Karaoke Club. I hope all of you boys and girls in Four Seasons Land have been good this past year, I would hate to see you get a lump of coal for Christmas. "Oh, I'm writing next month's karaoke announcement to send it to Louise…" Sorry… my wife just walked by and asked what I was doing, so I explained to her that since it was Christmas, I decided not to write anything funny. She asked, "have you ever written anything that is funny?" Lump of coal… See you at Karaoke. ~ Bill Christmas is upon us Shopping we must do, What to buy for everyone We haven't got a clue, Decorations all scattered about the house looks like a Zoo, We're about to lose it We need a "Drink" or two. Sound familiar? After all the baking and shopping, it's so fulfilling to spend the wonderful holiday season with family and friends. We're at year end, only one more event on the calendar. Our Christmas party at the Claim Jumper is Tues., Dec. 12. We exchange gifts, win door prizes, enjoy good food and that drink we need, along with loads of fun. Dianne Nauialis, Kathy Thurman and Sandy Stinnett are in charge, and working very hard to make this party a huge success. They deserve our appreciation. In January we will announce important club news, so stay tuned. Our regular Ladies Club meetings are on the fourth Monday of each month, in the Lodge Ballroom at 2 pm. Our first performance is Sat., Feb. 3 when we will perform several short comedy plays directed by Sandy Tiffin. Our second performance is Sat., June 23 directed by Chuck Sims. Chuck and others are already researching scripts. Our third performance, directed by Noreen Scott, is Sat., Sept. 15. This performance will be excerpts from famous musicals that will include the Vintage Voices. It promises to be a SMASH! More information will be forthcoming as we get closer to these dates.
