This year is fast coming to a close and we are already lining up art classes and projects for 2018. Thanks to all the volunteers and teachers here at Four Seasons that keep the beauty of art in our lives. Paint Night - This successful and fun one night paint class will be held again in January of 2018. You sign up to join in and bring a snack to share. All art supplies are there for you to paint a picture to take home that evening. Fee. Please check the Art and Craft Room for the future date. The Fine Art Show - This annual sale of fine art will be held in the Ballroom in March. Residents who want to sell their fine art works will be able to sign up in January when the date and times will be finalized. This event is always on a Saturday and is one day only. We advertise and promote it and have raffle tickets for giveaways. So start thinking about selling your work and maybe donating a piece of art for the drawing. All works must be your original art. There is a small table charge. Sign-up sheets will be in the Art and Craft Room. Remember to always check the calendar and sign-up sheets in the Art and Craft Room for classes and events. ~ Nancy Hawkins A R T Group Life Drawing/Painting Workshop We will have live models in this workshop to work from and we can all sketch or paint them. Models will be clothed and can be a neighbor or friend of one of us. This is not a formal class and will have no fee except for a possible minimal donation for the models time. Portrait painter Andre Lohnert, one of our own residents, will be there painting along with us. His experience and advice can guide us and help us to learn on our own how to create a life drawing or painting. This is a great opportunity for those who want to expand their artistic skills in a workshop setting alongside each other. These FREE workshops will be Mondays at 1:30 pm on Jan. 15, 22, and 29.
