8 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | DECEMBER 2017 | Plants grow as they will and when they cross the property lines surrounding your home, they grow to be a pain to your neighbors. The governing documents require that plant material be kept trimmed away from property lines and structures; however, some plants are easier to hold back than others. If your botanical collection is already firmly established, you may have to remove or replace some of the plants to reduce the frequency of trimming or even the need to trim the plants entirely. If you are considering re-landscaping your front and/or rear yards, choose plants that will be near the property line with a consideration for the long-term growth of those plants. As any change to the landscaping of your home requires previous approval from the Master Architectural Committee before any work may begin, please come to the Administration Office for application forms and guidance to assist you with submitting a completed application for a yard that is not only fully in compliance but is beautiful and will make you happy to look upon. ~ Etanisla Lopez-Ortiz, CMCA®, Planning and Compliance Department Manager Planning & Compliance: Plants & Your Neighbors COFFEE WITH THE GENERAL MANAGER Have you had the opportunity to meet Christopher Mitchell, General Manager?
