Health Seminar Mon., Dec. 31, 7:30 pm – 12:30 am, Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Sign up for the greatest celebration of the year and spend New Year's Eve with friends and neighbors in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. Our New Year's celebration will start when the doors open at 6:30 pm for a cocktail hour. A plated dinner will be served at 7:30 pm. Then everyone can dance the night away with Sophisticats until 12:30 am; the Times Square countdown will take place on the big screen at 12 midnight; and everyone will receive party favors to remember the special night. A cash bar will be open until 12:30 am for all participants. The cost is $36 pp. Menu includes assorted rolls, salad, surf and turf (top sirloin with shrimp), garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus with red onions, and coffee/tea/water. The registration will take place through a lottery. Lottery dates: Nov. 12 – 18. The pick will be on Mon., Nov. 19 and posted by Wed., Nov. 21. Any remaining tickets can be purchased after Nov. 21, in the Recreation Department. Lottery forms are at the Main Reception Desk to fill out. Please join us on this day to honor all who have served for our country. This Veteran Walk is going to be held inside Sun Lakes. It will be a two mile walk around Country Club Drive to Riviera, and back up Country Club Drive to the Main Clubhouse. All of the proceeds from this event are going to the Wounded Warrior Project. Registration forms can be picked up in the Recreation Office. The cost is $20 pp and includes a goodie bag with an event t-shirt, race bib, continental breakfast after the race, and the opportunity to listen to two decorated veterans during the breakfast.
