Friends we will miss ROLAND E. KERBS, 87, loving husband and father, and wonderful neighbor, passed away at home on September 13, 2012. Roland is survived by his adoring wife of 54 years, Flo, and his lovely daughter Lorraine. Roland was born on January 9, 1925 in Racine, Wisconsin, and came to California shortly after his military service. Roland and Flo moved from Calimesa to Sun Lakes eight years ago and have been active in District 1. Roland worked on his many hobbies, including painting and wood carving. He was an active member of the Fontana Button Box Accordion Club for over nine years. Roland's work included 28 years with San Bernardino County Flood Control. He served with the Naval Construction Battalion, Sea Bees, 5th SP USNCB, during World War II. Roland will be greatly missed by his family and friends. DICK TANSEY passed away October 16, 2012. He was born May 8, 1932, in Minneapolis, Minn. He moved to Arizona after seeing the movie "How the West Was Won" then to Hemet and Sun Lakes 1987. He is survived by his wife Pat, children Mike and Pat Tansey and grandchildren Chris and Joelle Tansey. He loved his golfing buddies who welcomed him after losing a leg in 1995. Bless you one and all. MARYELLEN (KOLIVER) WILKINS entered Heaven on May 25, 2012, after complications from lung cancer. Maryellen was born on December 9, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan to Dewey and Virginia Koliver. She moved to California in 1962 and began working for Norris Industries. She met Jim Wilkins in 1977 and they were married one year later. While living in Rosemead, CA, Maryellen continued her career working for Edison International, and gave many hours to several volunteer organizations. After she retired, it was her love of animals that prompted her involvement with the Animal Rescue Group after moving to Sun Lakes in 2003. The new kennels at Sun Lakes were dedicated to Maryellen this year. She is survived by her husband Jim; three children , Heather (Phil), Jannise, and Kevin (Janet); five grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Jim, Jari and Kimi; her brother Butch, and nephews Michael and Mark.
