ASSEMBLY REPORT Joe Formino, Chairman, District Delegate Assembly DELEGATE We are still on our crusade to convince the members of Homeowners Association to volunteer for one of the advisory committees. By reviewing the mission of the committees, we hope you will fill out an application and make yourself available. MAINTENANCE & LANDSCAPE ADVISORY COMMITTEE Have you ever walked around our complex and viewed the Clubhouses and the amenities and wondered who monitors their appearance? It is the mission of the Maintenance & Landscape Advisory Committee to oversee our facilities. And that is not all — committee members also inspect the landscaping of the common areas. Steve Kneass, Chairman, and his committee members have the monumental task of making sure everything is clean and well taken care of. Most of us have problems with our own home and yards let alone acres and acres of land and buildings to look after. RV STORAGE AREA ADVISORY COMMITTEE If you do not have a recreational vehicle you probably have never seen our RV storage area. Drive down Sun Lakes Blvd. and see the large area housing millions and millions of dollars of recreational equipment. The RV Storage Area Advisory Committee is chaired by Bob Stilson. Bob and his committee have the job of managing the entire complex of all types of equipment. The area must be clean, in good order and safe at all times. They provide safeguards to protect the valuable possessions of our members from vandals. Since the area is somewhat remote, there are safety devices used to protect the equipment. All of the Advisory Committees we have written about the past few months need your help. Some of the committees are even operating now with fewer members than are required. In gated communities such as ours, volunteers are used in many capacities to minimize expense. We could not afford to pay for the services of our members serving on the advisory committees. We believe it is YOUR turn to file an application. Pick a committee you would be comfortable being part of and they will welcome you with open arms. We are counting on you to fill ALL of the committee openings this year. Thank you for helping out! 6 | november 2012 | community news Sun Lakes Marines & Friends BIRTHDAY BALL You are invited to our Annual Marine Corps Birthday Ball on Nov. 10.
