social singles NOVEMBER DINNER MEETING Fri, Nov. 9, 6 pm, South Clubhouse. Doors open at 5:30 pm. When we laugh out loud… when we enjoy the people in our lives… when we share our time, our gifts, our very selves… that is how we truly give thanks. Please join us for our traditional Thanksgiving Dinner on Fri., Nov. 9. Thomas Caterer's will be serving turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings. Jessie Torres will make us swoon as he sings in the style of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Dean Martin. All this for only $12 pp! Guests are $12 pp for one time only. Make checks payable to Social Singles and drop them off at Betty McMillion's home, 5549 Pinehurst Dr., 769-6636. Those that want to sit together should put their checks in one envelope. The South Clubhouse can only hold 99… so get your checks in early as it will be on a first come basis. From now to Dec. 31, new membership dues are $5. Come in or out of costume, but be sure to wear your hat! Tea and sandwiches will be served. Oct. 27, SAT. LUNCHEON 11:30 am. Dining room, RSVP Doris Harrison, 769-3990 by Oct. 24. Oct. 28, "ARSENIC AND OLD LACE" Leave at 1:15 pm. $34 pp (or less). The play is a black comedy about man who must deal with his crazy, homicidal family and local police in Brooklyn, NY, as he debates whether to go through with his recent promise to marry the woman he loves. Dinner to be decided at a later date. Oct. 30, "IRON JAWED ANGELS" South Clubhouse, 11:30 am (time change from 9 am). No charge plus free coffee and donut holes. This is a wonderful film showing how women fought and suffered for the right to vote. Nov. 4, SUNDAY BRUNCH AT THE CLUBHOUSE 11 am. Join your friends. Call Addie at 845-7810. Nov. 4, "PETER PAN" Leave at 1:30 pm. $16. Lifehouse Theater, Redlands. The beloved story of Peter Pan, Wendy and the Lost Boys with a twist you'll enjoy. Dinner at Outback Steak House. Nov. 10, "GRIFFITH PARK OBSERVATORY" Drama Club event. Leave at 9 am. $22 pp. Enjoy the various exhibits which are free. Lunch on your own. Deadline for reservations ASAP.
