| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2018 | 3

FROM THE PRESIDENT'S DESK
Happy New Year! A new year brings
new beginnings, new resolutions, and new
changes. There will be several changes
happening here at Sun Lakes.
First is a new community patrol company
"Securitas." They will start Jan.15, and the
following are some of the changes that will
take place. We will now have two 24-7 patrol
cars, not just one. One will be assigned on
North side (which will also patrol the RV
lot), and one on the South side. They will
establish a call center and assign one person
to only answer phone calls made to the front
gate. Cameras will be strategically placed
around the RV lot. We will continue to have
a Community Patrol Onsite Manager. The
Patrol officers will have the ability to cite
residents for speeding and running stop
signs. The Board will inform the community
of the process and fines that may be imposed
by the end of this month or first of February.
Second, we will be rolling out the new
ID cards. These cards will be used at the
Restaurant, Lounge, and the Pro Shop. Again,
we will get the information to you by first of
February. We plan on correlating this process
with the Age Verification forms that need to
be done this year. We chose this time frame
because you will need to get your pictures
taken to be placed on the ID cards. We will
be doing this at the Clubhouses (North and
South), as well as at the Administration
office. More information will be coming on
this process.
Third, there will be a change made to the
Guest List. You will only be permitted to
have five names on your list and they will be
updated every year.
The Board feels that the above changes
are positive ones. Ones that will make
us feel safer and more secure here in our
community.
My New Years Resolution to all is "Slow
down and enjoy the journey right now. Take
time for the people in your life. They won't
always be there."
