6 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JANUARY 2018 |
During the winter seasons we recommend that landscape watering
be reduced. Most plant material do not require as much water as
they do in warmer months and most plants go dormant in winter and
while they often look wilted or brown, they actually require even less
water. In fact, plants can require roughly 50 percent less water during
the colder season.
By reducing your landscape watering, you prevent water waste
and prevent possible slip and fall dangers from water runoff onto
sidewalks. Water on the walkways and driveways can freeze in the
evening and early morning hours.
If you notice water runoff in the community, please notify the
Operations Department so we can have the common area irrigation
adjusted or contact a resident if needed. If you would like to report
water runoff please call the Operations Department at (951) 769-
6644. ~ Mark Schleiden, Director of Operations
