42 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | FEBRUARY 2018 | Int'l Culture Club It's two months into the new year and we're ready to celebrate one of our favorite holidays of the year: St. Valentine's Day. So get out your red ties, blouses, sweaters or dresses, grab your sweetheart, best friend or significant other, and come to our celebration on the second Thursday of the month. No doubt about it, you will have a very enjoyable evening dancing to the Showdown Band starting at 6 pm and dining on a scrumptious buffet starting at 6:30 pm. Doors open to the Ballroom at 5:30 pm and you will find a pre- set salad, warm rolls and butter. The buffet will be by table call and includes two carving stations with strip loin with au jus and horseradish sauce, chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes and squash medley. Chocolate cheesecake with a peanut butter ganache for desert will be served at your table. Coffee, water and iced tea will be available on a side board. Sign up at the North Clubhouse on the first Thursday in February at 3 pm. Cost is $25 per member, $27 for non-resident guest. To become a member, bring a separate check of $25 for 2018 Membership per person and a check for the event. Carol Hurt is our club secretary and banquet chairman. Info., Diane Hofler, 769-9308. Makua Hula Hawaiian Dancers performed for Activities Day "Tiny Bubbles/Pearly Shells" and "Hanalei Moon." It was a wonderful turn out at the Main Clubhouse. We hope you all enjoyed it and we are looking forward to having new members come to our free classes. Start your new year off with Hawaiian Dancing… great exercise and lots of fun.
