40 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2018 After a three week break, "Believe…" Women's Bible Study began its fifth year on Jan. 5. At the end of the lesson, we all shared cupcakes arranged in a big "5" to celebrate. All January was devoted to four lessons on "Loving God," with a two-fold message: (1) God is a loving God; and (2) How we show love to our God. In February we will begin the task of reading and studying the less-frequently studied books of the Bible. On Feb. 2, we will focus on the Book of Titus in the New Testament, followed by Philemon, then Jude. The last week in February, we will begin the study of Ezra, then Nehemiah, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, etc., in the Old Testament, and will take as long as we need to complete all the scheduled books to Malachi, the last book in the Old Testament. These will be enlightening studies and, hopefully, will give each of us insight as to why God chose to incorporate these books into the Word. One of the benefits of having an all-women's Bible study is that the focus can be on what we as women can learn. If you are interested in joining an amazing group of godly women who love God's Word, please come join us every Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 am in the Lodge Card Room. We will welcome you with open hearts and arms. Hope to see you soon! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Life Guide Bible Study This month, Jim Seim will continue to facilitate our study in Philippians, "Immersed in Christ's Joy." The apostle Paul shares with us the secrets of a happy life focused on our true riches in Christ. We invite interested residents to join us in learning from God's Word. We meet every Tuesday at 7 pm. Our regular meeting place is the third section of the Ballroom if the renovation is complete; otherwise, we will be meeting in the RCN. We will notify regular participants of room changes by email. I am looking for 2018 to be a year of new beginnings, and restoration. In China, the number '18' is considered a very auspicious number. It is associated with someone who is going to have great success and prosperity! The number '18' in Hebrew is the "symbol of life." This makes '18' a favorable number as it indicates hopes of long life. I look forward to a year of love, joy, hope, and peace. Love is the greatest gift we can give to our neighbors, and to all people. When we give a helping hand, we show how much we care and we have seen love displayed during the storms and the fires last year. Let this song by Jackie de Shannon inspire us to be good neighbors. The song says: "Think of your fellow man, lend him a helping hand, put a little love in your heart. You see, it's getting late, oh, please don't hesitate, put a little love in your heart, and the world will be a better place, and the world will be a better place, for you and me you just wait and see." Another verse says: "Take a good look around and if you're looking down put a little love in your heart, I hope when you decide kindness will be your guide, put a little love in your heart. And the world will be a better place, for you for me you just wait and see." Come and join with the Intercessory Prayer Group on Monday Feb. 5, at 9 am in the Game Room. Men are welcome. ~ Cookie Bonner
