FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | FEBRUARY 2018 5 By Eric Zarr, General Manager MANAGER'S REPORT Approximately 650 children had a very special Christmas this year, thanks, in a large part, to the residents of Four Seasons! You were joined by other retirement communities, schools, churches, businesses, service clubs and many community members to make this 28th Winter Wish a big success. You took sheets of wish tags and called for more tags, again and again. You gave and then gave some more. We can't thank you enough for being so generous. Your thoughtful consideration while choosing a child's tag, the love and care while shopping, and the special touches of gift wrapping were much appreciated. Those granted wishes certainly brought a smile to many children. Your generous donations of food were a blessing to over 210 families. We know there were many smiles, and a few tears, given by parents when they were presented with bags of groceries. Of all the communities and organizations, Four Seasons Beaumont was the most generous contributor. For that we owe you our deepest gratitude. ~ Winter Wish 2017 Volunteers Many Thanks from Winter Wish Deadline for Submitting Articles for the Breeze Magazine All articles are due by 12 pm on the 8th of every month. If you submit the monthly article for a committee, club or group - please make a note of that date and time. If your article is not received by then, it will not be printed in that month's Breeze. You may not have noticed, but as the community has grown, the Breeze has grown with it. What used to be a small magazine is now often around 70 pages. But the publishing date and all that that entails remains the same. That means that the Editorial Board, publisher and support staff have to read, edit and proof ever larger numbers of articles and get them to the printer on time so that the Breeze can be delivered to you by the first of the month. We don't want to be punitive, but we must adhere to that date and time: 12 pm on the 8th of every month. Of course, if there is a legitimate reason why you cannot meet that date, please notify our publisher at (909) 797-3647. Thank you for your understanding and your compliance. ~ Editorial Board It's great to be back! I am very excited and thankful to be back at Four Seasons Beaumont! Thank you Cindy for your fabulous article in last month's Breeze. I am still getting my bearings while writing this, so this will be short and sweet.
