Facilities Committee
The construction of the storage building, located next to the
Handball courts is now complete with heavy-duty metal storage
racks installed. There will be a building access control procedure
established. You will be required to sign-out for keys to the various
storerooms. This is an attempt to prevent the "dumping" of items left
over from various functions.
After 15 years of storing items from various committees and
clubs, the Ballroom storage room had greatly exceeded its capacity.
That room will again be used to store the tables, chairs, portable stage
and bingo equipment, as it was originally designed for. The Board
has recently approved a new wall unit for the Ballroom to be used to
store the flatware, glassware and other items used by the Bistro and
Social Committee for large events.
Looking forward to 2018, the major project will be the repair,
seal coating and striping of Four Seasons Blvd. and World Cup Ave.
including the surface area around both vehicle gates. This will occur
in late summer and will affect all residents.
If you become aware of any facility issues within our
community, please take a moment to fill out and submit a Resident
Communication Form at the front desk. We also have an opening on
the Facilities Committee for a resident with construction/electrical/
plumbing experience.
To keep your second bathroom water faucets from clogging
(calcium build-up):
1. Turn on each water faucet for 15 seconds (count to 15). On a
single handle bathtub/shower faucet, turn it all the way over
to HOT position for 15 seconds. This will also put water in
the drains to prevent sewer gas from coming up into your
bathroom.
2. Flush the toilet once a week. If gone for more than four weeks
have a neighbor do the above.
3. Turn on the bathroom fan for 10 seconds, this will keep it
from sticking from dust build-up.
