Yes, it is powerful to pray, but there's so much more that prayer can achieve, especially when you ask a specific being, for example a Master (in the body or out) or a Spiritual helper (angel or otherwise). When we are driven to get intense about our pain, whether it is old buried trauma beginning to surface, or some behavior we have that just doesn't dissolve when examined, we ask for help. We ask the Spirit Helper to examine our body, our aura which is vast (and which will outlast our physical body, and is in fact everlasting) and point out to us what shadow is operating there and then we give our Helper permission to rout it out. Helpers do not operate unless we give them permission. Why? Because sometimes removing some old trauma for example, can cause ego to rise up and complain. Without knowing it, we are attached to that pain, that unhappiness; it defines who we are and if we question that, our deeper fear is that we would go out of existence. This is who we are after all. Fancy that, to be attached to unhappiness, not know it, have it removed from us (scream and holler), and then come to see that we are fine without it, thank you very much! Then, if we are wiser, we realize that it is to our best interest to be perfectly honest with ourself, to be perfectly open and unafraid to examine that old trauma, or whatever it is, and let it go, because it doesn't belong to us; it doesn't define us and it is illusory, not real, and NOT cemented in stone. The Grace of our Master or our Helper will remove it. Just let Him; give him your consent!
