42 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2018 What a way to kick off summer - a beach-themed potluck/party! It is so much fun to see how many friendships have formed through this Bible study. All of the ladies are amazing, fun, intelligent and godly. The decorations were very "beachy" and you could almost hear the waves lapping at the shore. (Okay, maybe that's stretching it…) The food was plentiful, varied and a total smorgasbord of culinary delight! There was also a "quiz-game" with prizes awarded to the winners. Before we partied and ate, we began our next series: "Blessing Blockers." We learned the definition of a blessing, the different kinds of blessings, what constitutes a block to those blessings, and how to avoid those blockers. This will be a 12-week series, intended to be interactive, and each is jam-packed with wisdom from the Bible. Hey, all you beautiful ladies out there! Are you interested in joining an amazing group of women who are learning and growing through the Word of God? We know you are… so please come by the Game Room at the Lodge any Friday at 10:30 am. This is a non- denominational study, specifically geared to women, and any version of the Bible is fine. C'mon, grab your Bible and join our group! We'll be looking for you! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Life Guide Bible Study Life Guide Bible Study will be taking a break for the summer. Well, here we are again, celebrating the Fourth of July. We celebrate America the land of the free. As we recite the Pledge of Allegiance the word liberty comes up near the end of the Pledge. I thought about the word liberty. What is the meaning of the name liberty? The name liberty originates from the Latin "libertas" utilizing the element "liber" meaning "free." In English, the word means "liberty, free or independence." I am thankful for our country and for the freedoms we have. I pray that we never take freedom or liberty for granted. My prayer is that God will continue to bless America with liberty and justice for all. We invite you to come and join us in prayer on Monday, July 2 at 9 am in the Lodge Game Room. We encourage you to come be a part of praying for our country and our community. Hope to see you Monday the 2nd. ~ Cookie Bonner Images from our beachy potluck
