Are you ready for summer? Well it's here! Even JUNE GLOOM couldn't keep the heat away. I hope all those fathers out and about had a wonderful Father's Day, I'm sorry I kind of skidded over it last month. All the happy mommas seem to get more attention on their day, but what would we do without DAD? I'm looking forward to our great Patriotic Fourth of July party with red, white and blue everywhere. A golf cart parade starts the day, then a pie baking contest, games, hamburger, hot dog and apple pie (makes me proud to be an American). Then finish off the day under the stars with Nitro Express Band. AAH, I'm thinking, all of this could only happen at Four Seasons! Francisco did the honor of pulling the winning ticket for the June drawing. He graciously reached into my "Official Blue Paper Bag" filled with names of people vying for a free Sunday brunch for two and with his sunny smile handed me an entry slip quickly saying, "Who won it?" I was happy to inform him that the lucky winners are Harold and Linnea Rowden. I was able to capture this photo of them admiring the roses near the Lodge front door. Harold said it only took them seven years to win but Linnea said they had won once before. Either way, enjoy the brunch you two. The Bistro Survey is a work in progress which hopefully will be reaching your computers in the near future. It will come as an eblast – watch for it in your email. We are very happy to announce that Linda Willingham presented her application to join the Bistro Committee and was unanimously accepted just in time to attend our June 5 meeting.
