Congratulations to "Great Balls of Fire" as they continue their winning streak by once again taking first place at our Bocce finals. The team members are: Dave Scott, Van Eychaner, Jim Gates, Ernie Marsicano and Bob Fussell. Second place this year is a repeat of 2017 with "Mission in Bocce Ball" taking the spot! Their team members are: Patt Gililland, Steve Ariano, Bobbie Davis and Chuck Sims. The Awards Banquet was held on June 7. Everyone enjoyed Francisco's famous ribs and chicken buffet dinner. The first and second place winning teams received their small monetary award and a framed picture to help them remember their winning day! This season we had six players score a two point BOCCE – Linda Stroup, Donna Morrell, Dave Billson, Monica Scholl, Carol Webber and Jim Hutson. Congratulations!! We played eight weeks of our 10 week season this year as we were rained out the first two weeks. Next year we may start later in March and try to miss the rain! The Bocce Club will be selling sodas and water at the Fall Marketplace this year which will be held on Sat., Oct. 13. We invite any interested individuals to attend our committee meetings. The next scheduled meeting is Sept. 7 at 10 am in the Conference Room at the Lodge. Remember any resident of Four Seasons may sign out the bocce equipment and play at any time. The Lodge attendant will be happy to assist you! If you are new to the game and would like some coaching, please contact me to set up a day and time.
