Bill and Sherry Hendra are whipping up our Oktoberfest mixer/dinner on Wed., Oct. 17 at 5 pm. The cost is $5 pp pre paid when you sign up and guests will be $10. We will play tennis 5 to 6 pm with dinner served at 6 pm. Our Ladies Doubles Tournament is Oct. 19, 20 and 21 with a luncheon following the finals on Sun., Oct. 21. Players pay $5 pp with lunch included and guests will pay $5 as well to enjoy the luncheon. Please sign up ASAP. Some other dates to put on your schedule are: Nov. 3 is the Saturday Morning Mixer at 9 am. Following the mixer we will be having a tennis social with the Four Seasons Tennis Club players at 11 am. This will be a BBQ of hamburgers and hot dogs for $5 pp. The Turkey Shoot will be back on Nov. 17. The December Saturday Morning Mixer is on Dec. 1 at 9 am. The Fourth Quarterly Meeting and Holiday Dinner Dance will be on Thurs., Dec. 6 at 5:30 pm. We will have the meeting from 5:30 to 6 pm and dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. We have invited the Four Seasons Tennis Club players to join us as well as Sun Lakes Pickleball and Paddle Tennis clubs to join in the festivities as well. Have a great time on the courts! Doesn't matter… we have players of all skill levels. We play Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 4 to 6 pm, and Sat., 10 am to 12 noon in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom (normally). Info., Bruno, 797-0357. This year we have had a great summer with lots of early morning play and now we are officially into fall. This is especially a perfect time for morning POP Tennis. Please note playtime will now return to 8 am. This is a great time to invite a friend or neighbor to join you on the court. Equipment is available for newcomers to use. We welcome everyone interested in the game to join us. Scheduled days of play are Tues./Thurs./Fri. from 8 to 10 am. On Sundays, the courts are open to everyone, but many POP Tennis players show up to play on Sundays at 8 am.
