I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2019! We will have a Bocce Scramble day early in the year to brush up on our game skills before the regular season begins in mid March of 2019. The exact date will be announced later. Remember any resident of Four Seasons may sign out the Bocce equipment and play at any time. The Lodge attendant will be happy to assist you. If you are new to the game and would like some coaching, please contact me to set up a day and time. ~ Sue Malarkey, (951) 223-3056 or suem86301@gmail.com. 28 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JANUARY 2019 | And the winners areā€¦ first place goes to the team of Jim Gates and Mike Garrett! Our Second place team of Joyce Kerns and Donna Morrell won five games to play against the winning team of Gate/Garrett. We had a beautiful day to play our final games of 2018. Our Awards BBQ will be held on Thurs., Jan. 31 at 12:30 pm in the Ballroom at the Lodge. Our regular 2018 season of Shuffleboard began on Sept. 6. We had 32 teams sign up this year. We had an early start time to accommodate some of the players. We had eight teams at 8 am, 12 teams at 9 am and 12 teams at 10 am. There is a group who are practicing most Monday and Friday mornings. They start at approximately 9 am now that it is cooling off and play for about one to two hours. Come out and join them, they are great teachers for anyone new to the game. This is a fun sport, easy to learn and easy on the joints! If that does not work for you, please call me and we can get together at a more convenient time for you. ~ Sue Malarkey, (951) 223- 3056 or suem86301@gmail.com.
