| OHCC LIVING | FEBRUARY 2019 | 39
The first workshop of 2019 began with Kathleen Payne and
Welcome to the Sewing Room, followed by Sharon Kleven and Meet the
Machines. In general, throughout the year we plan to have a special
project on Thursday mornings twice a month. We might make iPad
cases, or mesh storage bags, decorative hand towels with hangers, or
fabric coasters. We will continue with our standard Camp Pendleton
goodies… cradle quilts, Christmas stockings and photo quilts. We
have many talented people with great ideas to share.
Our regular schedule: You will hear cordial conversation in the
Sewing Room on Tuesday evenings and Friday afternoons as we all
work on our own projects. Thursday mornings may be open sewing
time or special projects. On Tuesday afternoons the beading group
will gather with Irma Ojeda, which is then followed by MaryLu Belisle
and the knitters. On the second Saturday we have a 'Sew-In' and on
the fourth Saturday, the Wearable Arts group will be up to something
fun with Pam Bechill. A complete list of happenings is listed on the
Bulletin Board in the Sewing Room.
If anyone would like to participate in our activities and is unable
to get to the clubhouse, please contact Chris Sanderson at (858) 442-
1834. We have volunteers ready to pick you up!
Please visit our website, lovingly updated by Terri Eckhardt. http://
