GOOD DAY SUN LAKES CONTEST: As you watch this program, write down who you think did the voice for an announcement. Later this summer we will have a contest to see who can correctly name the individuals and what notice they did the voice for. More information about the contest will be provided over the next few months. Stay tuned. There is change in the air, or should I say on air. The change is channel 97, which has an all new look. No more boring unreadable slides lulling you to sleep. Now there is lively voice commentary and enhanced images. There will soon be a full-video news and event program with members of the community as the hosts. All this to keep you informed of what is happening in Sun Lakes Country Club. If you haven't watched channel 97 lately, then check it out. All this change is brought to you by Bob Murri, a one-year resident of Sun Lakes. He moved here from Salt Lake City, Utah, where he owns a media production company that produces T.V. and Internet commercials, corporate communications, electronic news gathering and local narrowcast T.V. shows. Bob stated that after moving here with his wife, Judy Kirstein, he quickly realized that channel 97 was an under-utilized asset to disseminate needed information to the community. He approached the Master Board about changing channel 97 and they agreed with the idea. This is a labor of love for Bob. Besides, his wife told him he had to find something to occupy his time, now that he is retired. Well, he found it. It is a project under development and the goal is to have it totally produced by residents of Sun Lakes for Sun Lakes. Bob has noticed a lot of talent in Sun Lakes, so finding talent should not be difficult. The voice-over talent, on-camera hosts, video editors, photographers and writers all volunteer to support this endeavor. If you would like to volunteer your skills and time or you think you have what it takes to be the host of the news and spotlight segment, then contact Bob at (801) 560-3771.
