| OHCC LIVING | JULY 2019 | 35 The regular monthly Anglers Club meeting is scheduled for Tues., July 9, at 7 pm in the Mykonos Room in the Clubhouse. All members and guests are invited to attend this or any regular monthly meetings that are held the second Tuesday of the month in the Mykonos Room to hear about the latest fishing and club information. The May 16, three-quarter day fishing trip on the Pacific Voyager was an adventure. We fished south at the Coronado Islands and it was a tough day in rainy and windy conditions as we chased fish unsuccessfully around the islands. We did not catch a yellowtail and we all got wet. We only caught a few bass, sculpin, and two bonito. Hera Graham won the jackpot with a nice six-pound sand bass. We were all glad to get back home in one piece. We all said, "Better luck next time." Our next scheduled fishing trip is a day and a half trip on the Voyager departing Seaforth Sportfishing in Mission Bay on Sunday evening July 14, and returning Tuesday morning July 15. While this trip is full, if you wish to go on this or any of our remaining trips if space is available, sign up, pick a bunk, and deposit your check at the front desk in the Clubhouse. If the trips are full, sign up as an alternate and we will get you on the trip if a space becomes available. During the July 9, meeting, we will discuss and share ideas for the 2020 OHA fishing trips and your opinion and input is important, so be sure to come to the meeting. We will also be taking sign-ups for the Sat., Aug. 25, Summer BBQ "Party of the Year," so bring your checkbook and sign up. The cost of the BBQ is $35. We will also have another 50/50 drawing with a chance for you to win some cash, if your lucky ticket is drawn. Tickets are six for $5 or $1each.
