20 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2019 The Community Planning and Transition Committee is continuing to fulfill its charter to address the HOA takeover from K. Hovnanian which is expected to occur at the conclusion of 2019. The committee is reviewing dog off-leash area specification options to expedite gas company approval. Research is ongoing for additional storage, amphitheater modifications and solar energy considerations. The committee is making progress reviewing an HOA Annual Plan. It will be formulated in conjunction with the Master Plan already in development. We welcome homeowners' interest. Our meetings are held at 9 am on the fourth Thursday of the month in the RCN Conference Room. This is a follow-on to the builder's specific plan to continue guiding our future as we want it. Definition of Master Planning: A process that determines community goals and aspirations and strategies to achieve those. The plan expresses and regulates policies, goals, and strategies to allocate our resources that may or may not already be addressed in the CC&Rs. We have drafted vision and mission statements. Vision Statement: To be the most welcoming adult community that feels like home and family. Mission Statement: To safeguard the investment of homeowners and enhance the quality of life for all residents. Goals: We have four working goals right now and have just started work on the strategies, tactics, and who's responsible. • Maintain and develop responsive effective leadership • Enhance the quality of life for all homeowners • Create a variety of community activities that meet diverse needs • Provide a variety of safe, well-maintained and comfortable facilities for all residents These will continue to be refined. Homeowners who would like to provide input are welcome to attend the monthly CP&T meetings at 9 am on the fourth Thursday of the month in the RCN Conference Room. ~ Colin Taylor, Chairman, Community Planning and Transition Committee
