| OHCC LIVING | AUGUST 2019 | 35 The August monthly meeting is scheduled for Tues., Aug. 13, at 7 pm in the Mykonos Room in the Clubhouse. At the August meeting, we will share information about tackle and tips in preparation for the upcoming September and October one-day tuna trips. All members and guests are invited to attend this or any regular monthly meetings that are held the second Tuesday of the month in the Mykonos Room. In addition, we will share final plans about the annual Summer BBQ scheduled for Sunday evening Aug. 25. Some tickets may still be available for the party of the year. The club is looking forward to the overnight, off-shore trip scheduled on the Voyager in anticipation of catching tuna. The September and October overnight trips may have space available, so if you want to go, sign up in the Clubhouse put in your check, and pick a bunk. The June two-day trip on the Pacific Voyager with 15 anglers on board was outstanding, fishing offshore catching 32 nice Bluefin tuna, 32 Yellowfin tuna, and 5 Yellowtail. The weather was great, the first day Jackpot was won by Lawrence Aiken and the second day by Fred Campbell with 30 plus pound Bluefin tuna. Everyone had a great time and you will be enjoying some of that tuna at the Summer BBQ. We will also have another big 50/50 drawing at our Aug. 13, meeting with a chance for you to win some cash if your lucky ticket is drawn. Tickets are six for $5, or $1 each.
