| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2020 | 25 Healthy Living A little information we found interesting and some good advice as we head into the new year: "Intuitive eating is an eating style that promotes a healthy attitude toward food and body image. The idea is that you should eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full. Though this should be an intuitive process, for many people it's not. "Trusting diet books and so-called experts about what, when, and how to eat can lead you away from trusting your body and its intuition. To eat intuitively, you may need to relearn how to trust your body. To do that, you need to distinguish between physical and emotional hunger: "Physical hunger. This biological urge tells you to replenish nutrients. It builds gradually and has different signals, such as a growling stomach, fatigue, or irritability. It's satisfied when you eat any food. "Emotional hunger. This is driven by emotional need. Sadness, loneliness, and boredom are some of the feelings that can create cravings for food, often comfort foods. Eating then causes guilt and self-hatred. "Intuitive eating is based on physical hunger rather than prescriptions from diet books and experts. Eating should satisfy physical hunger without causing guilt." We encourage you to visit and see what we are all about. We think you will find this a good fit for you. We meet every Wednesday at 9 am in the Multipurpose Room. If you have any questions about our program, please call Dave & Karen Tuvim, (626) 710-7163. Happy Campers RV Club Looking ahead for 2020: 18 rigs will get away to Catalina Spa in Desert Hot Springs for four nights in March. Many activities are planned including dinner at El Matador Mexican Restaurant in Desert Hot Springs. We are all looking forward to some warm weather and good times with friends and neighbors. Julie Muldoon is the Wagonmaster for this trip, so if you have questions please contact Julie. We are always considering other local trips for a quick getaway! Pala RV Park is in the works for a possible May trip and we'll be talking about a 2021 trip to Arizona - Benson, Lower Antelope, Grand Canyon. Also, our Happy Campers RV Club has planned another fun getaway to Pismo Beach in September. It's a great time of the year to visit the beaches and restaurants in town. "Jeepers" can also ride the dunes which makes for an interesting and fun day. So a reminder to those contemplating this trip to get in touch with Linda Wetter as soon as possible as she is organizing this trip and collecting the down payment. Four Seasons Happy Campers RV Club meets the first Saturday of the month in the Multipurpose Room at 10 am. We encourage donations of canned food: beans, soups or fruit, cereal and pasta (no expired dates please) for the Hemet Food Pantry. Co-Chairs for the Happy Campers: Cynthia Ellingworth, cynthia0430@verizon.net and/or Julie Muldoon, muldoon_julie@hotmail.com.
