26 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2020 | Billiards Four Seasons Billiards Team meets and plays Tuesday mornings 9 am to 1 pm. The team competes throughout the city of Hemet. Anyone interested in competitive team play call Ron Cordero at (909) 519-9095 or Art Martel at (909) 973-8208. Come join the fun! We play on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays from 7:30 am to noon. We invite anyone that would like to learn how to play Pickleball to come on down the fourth Saturday of the month at 8 am for lessons. We know you will have as much fun as we do. Players of all skill levels welcome! Pickleball We have a few people interested in playing horseshoes. There is a horseshoe league that plays on Wednesday mornings at 8 am at different locations around Hemet. We practice on Saturday mornings at 8 am. The league started in September. Horseshoes Tennis Friends Tennis Friends kicked off the new year celebrating the January birthdays of several players. A potluck, featuring a birthday cake designed as a tennis court, was held at Tracy Trousset's home. An array of players gathered to wish a happy birthday to Victoria Tarabochia, Trish Moorhouse, Lorraine Cheung, Barbara Jorgenson, Connie Whetzel and George Togo. More than just a group of players enjoying a sport they love, Tennis Friends promotes friendships and camaraderie, on and off the court. Many friendships (and romances) have been started on the tennis courts. When players aren't competing in friendly round-robin matches, they can often be found together going to dinner, shows or participating in the array of social events at the Four Seasons. A favorite among players is Music on the Plaza. If you want to get some exercise, play a fun sport and, most importantly, net some friendships that will last a lifetime, check out the action on the tennis courts, where you're guaranteed to meet a bevy of friendly faces. Tennis winter hours: Women's begins at 9 am, Monday and Friday; Men's begins at 8:30 am, Tuesday and Thursday; mixed-up doubles begins at 8 am, Saturday. Several Tennis Friends celebrated their birthdays in January. Gathered around their birthday cake designed as a tennis court, are (left to right), Victoria Tarabochia, Trish Moorhouse, George Togo, Lorraine Cheung and Barbara Jorgenson.
