44 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2020 Women's Evening Bible Study A parable is a simple story used to illustrate a moral or spiritual lesson, as told by Jesus in the Gospels. We have learned so many practical applications for our daily lives. In February the parable of the Good Shepherd focused on the teaching of "love your neighbor as yourself." The story of the Friend in Need taught us the importance of persistence in prayer. During our first gathering of the month we celebrated Valentine's Day with chocolate, homemade cookies, and valentines. Yes, we have fun and fellowship in Bible study. Our study is non-denominational and all ladies of Four Seasons are welcome to join us. We gather together on the first and third Thursday in The Lodge Game Room from 6:30 to 7:45 pm. We are women who have a desire to learn more about God's word. If you need prayer, we want to pray for you and give encouragement. See you soon! "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." ~ Jeremiah 33:3 If you have questions or concerns, write to me at baerhuggy@ icloud.com. I will respond promptly. ~ Mary Baer, baerhuggy@ icloud.com Jewish Cultural Club Is In Motion The Jewish Cultural Club will be offering a number of fun and interesting events this spring. We hope you can join us for any or all of them. The Yankles: March 15 at 5 in the RCN The Yankles is a comedy about a Yeshiva (school for Rabbis) that fields a college world series baseball team. The event will be featuring the writer and producer of the film, Zev Brooks, and actor Ken Brown. Traditional Jewish pastries and coffee will be served. A $2 donation is requested. Passover Seder: April 11 at 5 pm in the RCN We will be celebrating Passover in the RCN, featuring a traditional homemade Seder dinner, and short (actually very short and non- traditional) Seder service with a Passover sing- along. The food is guaranteed to be fabulous, and the music will be fun. Cost will be $10 per person. Monthly Trivia Contest: March 8 at 6:30 pm in the RCN Our signature event, held on the first Sunday of every month. Trivia is hosted by the handsome and talented Joe Barletta. Have you ever wondered what to do with all of that totally useless information you have been collecting all of your life? Here is your chance to use it. RSVP for any of these events to Nancy Justice. We are encouraged in our spiritual growth through this study of Bible scriptures that tell us how a true disciple of Jesus demonstrates Christ-likeness in words and behavior. We invite all residents to join us for fellowship, discussion, and prayer. We meet every Tuesday at 7 pm, in the third section of the Lodge Ballroom. Please contact Doc or Letha Sellars with any questions or comments at (951) 797-3302 or docletha72@gmail.com. ~ Doc Sellars
