The good news is that our greens were aerated in April and by the time we resume play, our Championship golf course should be in primo condition. We would love to have new residents or recently retired golfers join the Sun Lakes Men's Club. The dues are $70 ($34 goes towards Men's Club dues and $36 pays for maintaining your S.C.G.A./GHIN handicap). We have a tournament on the third Friday of the month followed by a catered lunch in the North Clubhouse. The Executive Men's Club meets on Fridays at 8:30 am for a 9 am shotgun start. We also have a closest to the pin and circle hole contests every Friday. The month of May we have two tournaments; the first tournament in May is our annual event with the Highland Springs Country Club hosted this year by the Sun Lakes Executive Men's Golf Club. The date is Mon., May 11. The winning club keeps the trophy for the year. On Fri., May 15, we have an individual Stroke tournament. The May tournament schedule is subject to the COVID-19 restrictions. Membership is open to all Sun Lakes male residents and all levels of golfers are welcome. Come join us! Are you interested in sharpening your short game skills? Do you enjoy having a relaxed game of golf? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may wish to join our Saturday Morning Golf Group. We play on the Executive Course. Our membership includes men and women with a large range of handicaps. Our members share a love of the game. We have shotgun starts. Most of the year, October through June, the check in time is 8:30 am with a 9 am shotgun. In the summer, July through September, the check in time is 8 am with a 8:30 am shotgun. We hold monthly tournaments, an annual Club Championship competition, and quarterly dinners. Membership application forms are available in the North Pro Shop. Annual dues are only $15. Many couples have joined us this year to play casual golf with fun golf games on Sunday mornings. If you want to join us, please call Mary Wilkie at (909) 280-1451 for information.
