"Bloom Where You're Planted" has taken on a whole new meaning during these past few months. As we all continue to navigate unchartered waters, learning to literally, bloom where we are planted is important, both for our peace of mind and well-being, during these challenging circumstances. Take time to get outside, feel the warmth of the sun, stay hydrated, exercise during the cool of the day, and don't forget to smile. (Even if it is only to yourself behind your mask!) Like the beautiful plants we cultivate and nurture in our gardens, applying the same disciplines will help us to maintain stability, giving us a positive outlook. In recent weeks I've noticed the more time I spend with my plants, the heartier and greener they look! Ones that didn't appear to be doing so well are now thriving. Did they adapt to where they were planted? Hmmm… seeds of wisdom to grow by! Stay healthy. Be happy. At this time, Late Bloomers is not meeting. As we continue to monitor the ever-changing conditions for Social Distancing, we will keep you informed regarding our getting together again. All Four Seasons residents are welcome to attend so watch for email updates. For more information, or if you have questions related to gardening, please contact Sharon Deuber at (760) 500-0077 or email Sharon@ BlackDiamondInvestments.net. The Mixed Media Group was started over six years ago for the purposes of sharing, inspiring and experimenting with new methods including all mixed media techniques regarding fine arts, jewelry arts, digital art using Photoshop, designs on fabric, decoration of book covers etc. The list goes on and on… Vicki Allen-Hitt: "Our mixed media group provides me with inspiration to attempt new endeavors. We share our latest works and critique each other's works. Our suggestions are only that. Our main goal is to encourage each other. I've delved into new paints, new medias, and new genres due to this group, plus was introduced to the latest methods and techniques. My creativity has expanded to another level." Lucia K. Wolfer: "I am constantly inspired by the creativity of our group as we continue our exploration of infinite possibilities regarding techniques and materials. I like the fact that we use new technologies in the form of art-related apps. We currently meet on Zoom but that doesn't stop us from sharing, motivating and inspiring each other which helps to clarify my artistic path and vision toward the development of my own unique style."
