This event took place during a very intense heat wave of century mark temperatures. Mother Nature, however, was cooperating and the temps at tournament's end were thankfully in the low 90° range. Competition was very tight for the first three positions separated by a mere 0.186 strokes. That's the point where the competitors can remember that one putt that just rimmed the cup or after four tries from two feet did not fall. When the tournament was over the following posted winning positions for the contest: Winning Teams 1st, 45.047: Bruce and Lori Dalfonso, Joe Roux and Soky Hanson 2nd, 45.232: Bob Miller, Margie Pierson, Bill and Susan Connelly 3rd, 45.233: Charles Craven, Paula Thompson, Leo Pasco and Peggy Clendenen 4th, 47.628: John and Anita Hoetker, Dan and Sheryl Beamish Closest to the Pin #5: Women, Annette Lalicker – 5'1" / Men, Bob Miller – 3'4" #15: Women, Vicki Cornille – 23'3" / Men, Randy Meyer – 10'8" #16: Team #1B Bruce and Lori Dalfonso, Joe Roux and Soky Hanson – 4'2" DARWIN AWARDS – Goes to Team #17, Ed Cobb, Pat Sparkenbach, Walt Bowman and Bonnie Hinman. Their failure to retrieve the CTP marker on Hole #17 caused your humble CEO to make a special run to retrieve the marker after just having had a disastrous 18 holes of golf. The next contest is set for Thursday, Nov. 12 and will be our "RANDOM DRAW" event.
