Taka Ritchie is November's Artist of the Month. She is an
award-winning Watercolorist and her many First Place Awards
have taken her into the Masters Category. She has also won
People's Choice Awards and just this year won People's Choice
Award for the Year 2020. Taka also paints in acrylics and is an
accomplished sculptor as well.
Taka is a past Board member of the Murrieta Gem of the
Valley Art Association, and she continues to be a member of
this fine organization.
She has lived in the Colony for many years. In her early years
living in Murrieta, she had much of her art work hanging in
many Murrieta businesses. As in the past, business owners
have again opened their doors to local artists, and you can find
their work, including Taka's, displayed in restaurants and other
types of businesses.
Taka has donated much of her time teaching the Watercolor
class in the Colony. She also leads a Mah Jongg group she plays
with each week.
Thank you, Taka, for sharing your wonderful artistic gift with
the Colony residents as well as giving your time teaching our
Watercolor class.
