| THE COLONY NEWS | MARCH 2021 | 25
By Sylvia Maxwell, 818-667-1766
Our featured artist for March is Kathy
Sullivan, a Colony resident since 2016. In
2019, she exhibited her Metallography,
an art form of photographs placed
onto metal in the Clubhouse Lobby.
Kathy's photographs are placed on sheet
aluminum.
Kathy returned recently from a
10,000-mile trip around the USA,
photographing the fall colors of the
New England states, beach scenes and
landscapes. She visited Joshua Tree National Park
in December 2019 and wrote an article about it for
the February 2021 issue of The Colony News.
Kathy started photography at Palomar College in
the 1980s. Out of 40 entries, 25 of her photographs
were chosen to be displayed in our City Hall. She
has exhibited her artwork at the Del Mar Fair,
and belongs to the Inland Empire Photo Club in
Temecula. The generosity of this artist in sharing
her beautiful hobby with Colony residents is
appreciated by all of us. Thank you, Kathy! We also
look forward to more "Sullivan's Travels" articles.
