58 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2021
Spring has arrived and all of the trees and flowers are blooming. As
always, I hope that everyone is happy, vaccinated, and healthy. With
great disappointment, I have to report that another month has now
passed and very little work has been done on the new shuffleboard
courts. Perry Goldstein and I are trying our best to encourage
responsibility for all of the delays and excuses.
But needless to say, it doesn't seem to help. Apparently the
contractor shows up when he wants to. I believe that the contractor
received his deposit in October 2020 and from the current published
photo, you can see that very little progress has been made up to the
beginning of May 2021. We are continuing to ask for accountability
from our Homeowners Association and Board of Directors and can
only hope to start seeing some real progress being made soon on the
construction of our four new shuffleboard courts.
Other than that, play has resumed outdoors at the old shuffleboard
courts at The Lodge on Monday and Saturday mornings at 9 am. We
have some new players and always welcome more new players. Some
of the regular players from pre-COVID have not returned to play yet.
But we hope to see everyone come out and get some fresh air, a little
exercise, and some socialization. If you have any questions, please
let me know. ~ Marty Rotman, mrtmj@aol.com, (310) 948-1693
