This catered barbecue dinner will be held in the Atrium Patio on Wednesday, Sept. 15, with the doors opening at 6 pm. We will serve you a glass of red or white wine, your choice, with your dinner, but bring your own choice of beverage for the rest of the evening. The last day of ticket sales will take place in the Atrium on Tuesday, Sept. 7, from 10 am to 12 noon. You must be a member to attend. If you would like more information or would like to join the Wine Club, please give me a call. Wine Club The Colony Cousins Genealogy Club will be meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 1 pm in the Annex. This will be our second formal meeting this year, and we are hoping to see many current members as well as some new members. Our speaker will be Michael Reagan, who has exceptional skills in photo restoration and is also a long-time member of our club. His topic will be "Improving Ancestor Photos." Michael has been involved in genealogy for 30 years and has been a volunteer at an LDS Family History Center for 28 years. He has been a vice-president of Questing Heirs of South Bay Cities, and of the British Isles Family History Society. He also has served as the newspaper editor for the Temecula Valley Genealogical Society and has given talks on photo editing at several genealogical conferences. He has a data base of 56,105 names with 1,000 unique surnames. Michael repairs and posts his ancestor photos to Facebook and shares them with family and friends. He is extremely lucky that most photos are identified. Visitors are always welcome and invited to join, if interested. For more information, please contact Charlene Patterson, (951) 239-1229. Join us to meet new friends and to see friends you haven't seen in a while! As Thomas Fuller said, "No man can be happy without a friend, nor be sure of his friend till he is unhappy." Singles By Kathleen Brown, 698-5244 By Sharon Evans, 445-3861 By Sonnie Summers, 698-0318 Our next meeting will take place in the Meeting Room on Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 10:30 am. Our book for September is Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. It's at once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming-of-age story and a surprising tale of possible murder. Please join us even if you haven't read the book. If you are reading ahead, our October read will be John Steinbeck's classic, East of Eden. Book Readers By Jeanne Bender, 949-295-5412
