Pumpkin spice and everything nice! It is like a warm hug in my mug. The warm temperatures do not stop me from savoring all things fall. I enjoy watching the leaves drift off the trees. Clearly, I am not the one who cleans them up — they would probably be less charming. At least that is the impression I get as I hear my husband prepare to remove the current pile from the yard. This is the season for apple picking in Oak Glen or pressing fresh cider, then enjoying a hayride through the orchards. Most days are begun with an indulgent pour of pumpkin spice creamer in my morning coffee or a pumpkin muffin (the everything nice part). I get a little dreamy thinking about it. Of course, it is just a prelude to gingerbread season that is quickly approaching. The Social Committee will be hosting the Holiday Home Tour this December and are looking for residents who will open their home and share their holiday décor. Oct. 2 is the best day to come see the falling leaves and enjoy The Stone Soul Concert right here at Four Seasons. We are so lucky to have quality entertainers come to us, at far less cost than heading to a casino and paying a higher ticket price. The Social Committee and Association are committed to bringing you quality entertainment. The price of a ticket is set to break even, not to make a profit. Currently we are experiencing price increases and limited availability on several goods and services. This is causing slightly higher prices than you have had in the past. Please keep coming out; it has been a blast seeing so many people able to enjoy these great evenings of music and dancing. Oct. 16, from 3 to 7 pm, is our Motors & Margaritas; the margarita should ward off the chill in the air as you stroll around looking at all the cool cars on display in the parking lot. Enjoy a gourmet grilled cheese or a favorite taco. We hope you come out and enjoy this event. Everything is coming together nicely. It was exciting to be included in the newest club creation. The Seasons Quilt Club has been approved by the Board and have already started meeting. The ladies involved were organized and energized to put all the pieces together (much like a quilt?) and I suspect we will see great things come from this creative group. Finally, I ask that you please support our local food pantry. We have bins located in the Card Room to receive your donations. Holiday meal type foods are always a hit. 4 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2021 | From Your Activities Director By Tracie Rodgers A JOB WELL DONE Board President Jim Crase, with Tracie Long and Julie Shutt, Lodge Attendants Board President Jim Crase with Tracie Rodgers, Activities Director.
