Men's Golf

It was a hot month and the golf course wasn't in its best
condition, but we still managed to enjoy our Men's Club
Wednesday tournaments! One of the more interesting
formats was held just prior to Labor Day: it was a very
appropriate "Red, White and Blue Scramble." Six holes of the
18 were played from the red tees, six from the white tees and
the remaining six holes from the blues. It was an interesting
(and patriotic) format and well played by the winners: Bruce
Dalfonso, Steve Liguzinski, Joe Cwirka, and Dave Reynolds.
In addition, however, August was also a birthday month for
one of our nonagenarian members. Dave Reynolds turned
90 years young this month and – can you believe - still plays
a full round of golf twice a week! At our August luncheon, we
had a large appropriately decorated birthday cake, and Dave
was presented with an oversize birthday card signed by all
present and a prepaid round of golf. Well played and Happy
Birthday, Dave!
It won't be long until our Pancake Breakfast on Saturday,
Nov. 13, so look out for those club members selling tickets in
the Clubhouse – and remember, you can also purchase them
at the Activities Office.
