DID YOU KNOW that if you bag your recyclables in a plastic
bag, they will NOT be recycled? According to the Waste Management
website, plastic bags can shut down an entire recycling plant. So,
don't toss loose plastic bags into your recycle bin and never bag
recyclables. If you use a plastic bag to gather your recyclables, empty
it directly into your recycle bin and reuse the bag. There's a lot more

DID YOU KNOW we water the golf course in the middle of
the day when the sun is high and it's really hot? It's called syringing
and is a common practice used to cool the grass in periods of intense
heat. We have staff trained to know when our fairways are getting
too hot and starting to stress, and they will pop a little water on them
for a couple of minutes. It's a preventative measure that cools the turf
and helps prevent dry wilt which can ultimately lead to loss of turf.
