64 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2021
Our September Recap: With California's Fire Season
in full force the U.S. Forestry Service closed all access to
the San Jacinto and San Bernardino mountains to all
recreation.
Our 4x4 group skipped September's planned mountain
day run, however we were invited to join the Four Seasons
Motorcycle and Classic Car Clubs on a procession to
Redlands Memorial Park.
Sept. 17 is a national day of recognition for POW and
MIA service members. We had the honor of answering the
names of fallen heroes during a roll call ceremony.
October is the unofficial opening of the 4x4 season,
the deserts and our mountains are cool, the seasons are
changing, and it is a fun time to enjoy nature. Our Four
Seasons 4x4 group will be heading out into the back
country every chance we get.
If you would like to join us and see what we do, our
meetings are the second Tuesday of each month, and our
day runs are usually the second Thursday of each month.
We hope to see you in the RCN Conference Room at 6:30
pm for our meetings and the following Thursday in The
Lodge parking lot at 8 am for our day run.

4x4 Seasons
My wife told me it's November and I told her she is wrong, no
way can it be November already. Well after 60 years, she hasn't been
wrong one time! Makes me so mad. So start thinking about what
you're going to do with that turkey and who you're going to invite over
for the Thanksgiving dinner this year.
Back to horseshoes, with the cooler days upon us, we moved our
starting time to 9 am. With only minor threats of rain, we've been
able to play each week and should be able to do so the rest of the
year. I say stuff like that thinking it will make it rain hard, which
California surely needs. With all this play, it's time to do a little work
on our venue, like adding more material in each pit and replacing the
front boards as well. So I guess I better make that happen, we have to
keep it looking and playing as beautiful as it is. I'm telling you folks,
you need to come and join us, we need help enjoying this as much
as we do.
