FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2021 43 Our October Cars & Coffee gathering was a success. We had beautiful weather and a nice turnout. We had some great looking cars on display, great conversation, and of course, donuts. Newcomer Lee Dotson brought his hot-looking reddish/orange 1946 Ford coupe. Lee and wife Emelie are new to Four Seasons, having moved here just three weeks ago. We hope to see Lee and his Ford at many more Cars & Coffee gatherings. Also making an appearance was Larry Goodreau and his beautiful red 2018 Infinity Q60-S, powered by a dual turbo 3.0 engine and a seven-speed transmission. I know many of you have seen this vehicle in parades or just cruising the streets of Four Seasons… you are probably asking yourself is it a car or a golf cart? That was the question regarding Al and Christina Gray's teal colored 2002 Ford "Think Neighbor" LSV (low speed vehicle). Well folks, it is classified as a car with DMV. It is street legal and really cool. Greg Messick and Bill Steele were not present at this month's Cars & Coffee gathering. Both being Corvette C8 owners, they attended the Ron Fellows Performance Driving School in Las Vegas. The event was sponsored by Chevrolet. I am sure that Greg and Bill will have some exciting stories to share with us at our next Cars & Coffee gathering on Nov. 6. Please join us every first Saturday of the month at 9 am in The Lodge parking lot. Since Veterans Day is Nov. 11, I would like to welcome all Veterans to our Nov. 6 gathering. A group picture will be taken. For additional information, please contact Rick Morales at (951) 797-3732 or onemth53@yahoo.com or Frank Morales at (951) 203- 4578 or fmoralesjrinc@aol.com Until next month… everyone please be safe and stay healthy. ~ Frank Morales Cars & Coffee Larry Goodreau and his Q60-S Infinity Al and Christina Gray with their Ford LSV Lee Dotson and his 1946 Ford Computer Club We saw a presentation and had discussions about how to recognize bogus emails and text messages at the Computer Group's October meeting. Everyone in the audience has been a victim of some of the most blatant ploys used by "black hat" hackers to steal our money. It was highlighted that everyone is being targeted, not only large corporations and institutions. These thugs prey on seniors. However, with the knowledge we've obtained and a little more attention to the signals we've gotten, we're better equipped to avoid becoming victims. It's no surprise that text messages and emails are used in nearly a third of all reported scam efforts. Our meetings are held in the RCN building on the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am.
