ANNUAL ELECTION NEWS DID YOU KNOW that the rumor mill is alive and thriving in beautiful Sun Lakes Country Club? One of the many rumors going around is that Carlos Carts is leaving. Not true! His contract did come due at the end of 2021 and he has signed a new contract for 2022. We are grateful that his services will continue to be available to all of us. DID YOU KNOW that golf carts which are crossing the streets from one hole to the next do NOT have the right of way? There is a stop sign at each of these entrances for the golf carts to stop and let the traffic on the streets go by. This keeps street traffic moving smoothly and hopefully, will prevent any kind of back up on the roads that could cause an incident. Golfers, don't forget to stop! Drivers, please keep moving. DID YOU KNOW that all the rain we've had this winter did NOT take us out of the drought? In fact, new statewide water restrictions were approved on January 4, 2022 that restrict water usage specifically aimed at outdoor watering. These include eliminating excessive runoff onto streets and sidewalks; watering during 48 hours after a storm that brings at least ΒΌ inch of rain; washing your driveway, sidewalk, patio etc; and washing your car without having a shut-off valve on the hose. DID YOU KNOW easily 50 percent of water consumption is outdoors? The San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency (sgpwa.com/ conservation) has lots of tips and suggestions on water usage both indoors and out. You can see your monthly water usage listed as a CCF on your Banning utilities bill. Many of us in Sun Lakes are consciously working to lower our water consumption, and ultimately our water bill. Thank you! DID YOU KNOW? DID YOU KNOW?
